A brand new year

Happy New Year

We are all hoping for the very best this year.  There is so much to look forward to.  I am just so excited for all the new adventures ahead.

This past weekend we went to Albuquerque.  We took the kids rollerskating in a rink.  They had a lot of fun.  It was pretty busy so we kept Darlin and Blazen on the outside short carpeted areas and skated with them and then played the video games.  We took Denim in the rink.  It was quite a rush for her, but she loved it.  We also were able to go to the temple.  Ace and I switched going in and being with our children.  We had such a nice time.  We had a few errands to run and in the course of doing this (we took the long aluminum trailer) we hit the ball of another persons truck with the trailer and sliced the side railing of the trailer.  The guys truck was fine, but the trailer will need fixed.  A slight bit of drama, but all was well.  We then drove to Gallup and spent New Year's Eve with the Mortenson Family.  They are just hilarious.  We enjoyed our time with them.
This past week Denim had school off on Monday.  We went and played over at Granny's with Tessa, Ike, NaLynn, and Whitley and also went sledding.  Then we finished our last day of Christmas break with a movie.
Denim started school again on Tuesday.  She had a hard time getting out of bed so early, but after school she told me that she had a wonderful time.  Darlin, and Blazen helped me get things back in order this week.  Ace trudged through the mud getting his normal work done and also built new storage shelves for me in the back room.

On Friday Denim had an elementary school cheer camp in the morning.  She loved it, especially being the flier.  I taught them a little dance to go with their cheer.

After that we went to Albuquerque.  For part of grannies present to the kids for Christmas she took them to the Radisson Inn were they also have an indoor water park.  It was fabulous!  It had slides, kid toys, inter tube river, Lava ponds, and a lillypads, basketball, and a surfing section for big kids.  Saturday we got to play in the water too, and then went to eat at Mimi's.  Thank you granny for a memorable trip that we will never forget.

I was able to make an early morning session at the temple on Saturday as well.  Then home sweet home with our exhausted bunch.

I put in a picture of us on Sunday morning before church.  Here we are going to worship Christ.

Happy New Year to all of you.  We send you all of our love!
