Congratulations to Tawana and Chris! Good job Tawana! What a beautiful little baby girl!!!!

Tessa had a hard time breathing the 1st day. The nurses did not get all of the fluid out of her lungs because she was born right at the shift change in the hospital. Due to this, the poor little girl had to be on oxygen. She also got poked a lot which made her whimper. It was sooo sad. Thank heavens that did not last too long. She got to finally come home on Wed night. Being home made all the difference. It was a nice peaceful and relaxing environment and she wasn't being prodded. She slept well and ate well and now she is content.

Tessa has lots and lots of long black hair, she looks like and indian child. It is just adorable. We really are hoping that she keeps it.

Tawana did very well during delivery. She had SILENT contractions. If you are unaware of what that is, well then you might just not want to read on because of how jealous it will make you (that is if you have already gone through labor.) Ok, so, basically that means you cannot feel the contractions. I know, I know, let's all go gang up on Tawana-not fair. But totally awesome for her. She also had an epidural when she started feeling the last really strong ones and slept for awhile until it was time to push. Do you want me to keep going or are you already dialing Tawana's number? We were also very proud of Chris for not throwing up or passing out or something like that. Tawana just adores baby Tessa and you can tell she is so in love and content with life. It is so sweet!!

We totally love baby Tessa too. Denim calls Auntie everyday. (She would call her 10 times, but I try to limit the number of calls. "How is little Tessa doing?", she asks 1st thing. She also prays for her.
